The Da Lat Cable Car is a cabin line on the south-western edge of Da Lat. It runs from the top of Robin Hill, 3–4 km from the city centre, to a terminal beside Truc Lam Zen Monastery on Phoenix Mountain, which looks over Tuyen Lam Lake.
Most visitors ride it as the way to the monastery, either one way or return.

The line
The Da Lat Cable Car is one line with two stations. Most people board at Robin Hill, but you can start at the Truc Lam end and ride the other way.

- Is the Da Lat cable car worth it?
- Yes, as the way to Truc Lam Zen Monastery: 12 minutes over pine forest beats the road. The ride itself is short, so plan it together with the monastery and the view over Tuyen Lam Lake rather than as the whole outing.
- Should I buy a return or a one-way ticket?
- Return brings you back to Robin Hill, where you started. One way makes sense if you are going on from Truc Lam by taxi or Grab to Tuyen Lam Lake's far shore or Datanla Waterfall, which the cable car does not reach.
- How long does the visit take?
- The ride is about 12 minutes each way. With a walk round the monastery, plan 1.5 to 2.5 hours for the round trip.
- Does it run at lunchtime and in bad weather?
- On most days the line pauses from about 11:30 to 13:00, and it is reported closed on Thursday afternoons for maintenance. It can also close in storms. Fog can hide the view; visitor guides suggest riding in the morning or after 15:00.
- When is it least crowded?
- Queues build around mid-morning. Late afternoon, close to the last ride, is usually quiet.
